Aikiyam Wisdom, Auroville

Located within the Aikiyam School campus in Auroville—an outreach institution serving children from surrounding villages—the Wisdom Building accommodates four classrooms, teacher spaces, and utility areas.

As a later addition to the campus, the design responds to the critical challenge of integrating with the existing built context without resorting to imitation. The architectural language is therefore calibrated to achieve visual continuity while maintaining its own identity, balancing proportions, scale, and material expression with the neighbouring structures.The planning is straightforward and efficient, organizing academic and support spaces with clarity while ensuring adequate light, ventilation, and ease of use for everyday school activities.
